RaSpBeRiEs GaLOrE!

We picked raspberries this morning and got almost 4 pints from about half of the raspberry patch. Carter helped by holding the bucket and telling mom where more ripe ones could be found. . .

. . . and I don't think a single berry that Emmy picked ended up in the bucket, and half of the ones in the bucket ended up in her tummy!

Fourth of July

I am still playing around with new ways to post on my blog,
so here is a dorky little movie I put together. We went to
the Kaysville parade, where the kids got WAY too much candy,
and then we went to Burger King for lunch. We played outside
and swam a little in the kiddie pool. A family in the ward
brought us a package of fireworks, so we set those off and
then went to bed. I asked the kids if it was ok if we skipped the big
show since I had to be up so early to deliver papers, and they
were fine with it. I think by the end of the day they were worn
out!

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

So. . . I went and got me a paper route. This was my second day doing it and it isn't so bad. I have to get up between 2-3 in the morning, and that is by far the worst part. It is still taking me a few hours to do because I don't know all the houses yet, but when I learn it I think I will be able to reward myself with a little more sleep. I am hoping that I don't mess up Lilly's sleeping schedule too badly with this, she tends to like to stay awake for awhile while I fold the papers, but once we are in the car she quickly falls asleep. It is nice and peaceful that time of day and most of the papers I just throw from the window of my van, I probably only have to get out for about 10 papers the whole route. Anyway, it will be a good source of extra income, maybe even enough that I can get my kids into various lessons and/or sports, that can get soo expensive. Alrighty then, I think I am going to go take a nap now! =0)

Hair Do!

Ok, first of all, all of the last posts are kind of out of order, I am still trying to get a handle on this blogging stuff. Anyway, I got my haircut today for free at a beauty school and I totally love it, so here is a picture of what it looks like. I have had it short like this for awhile, but since I didn't get to see any of my friends at our "reunion" I thought I would stick it up for you to see.

We had a busy weekend as you can see from all of the pictures. Jaron's youngest brother Jake is leaving on a mission to Belgium (French speaking =0) ) The kids and I drove to Pocatello from Fruit Heights and Jaron drove there from Boise, so we got to see each other as well as spend time with family. Emmy and Carter are always excited to see their grandparents, aunts and uncles and especially their cousins.

We had fun playing water games and swimming. Jake gave a really good talk and it was fun to see everyone.

Grandma Hamblin left a swimming pool in the shed for the kids to use and they are absolutely loving it!

The water is much clearer today than it was yesterday, apparently when we filled the pool the city had just flushed the hydrants and we had a pool full of BLACK water. The city assured me it was safe, so the children swam in dirty water until this morning when we dumped it and refilled it with the much cleaner water today.

Lilly isn't a huge fan of her bungee seat, but she is so happy she will smile just about anywhere we stick her!

Ashton refused to actually get in the water, even though he had a life jacket for a swim suit on.

This is after we got home, and if it looks like my kids are living in their swimsuits, it's because they are!

FuN iN ThE SuN!

Emmy and her cousin Allie have the same swimsuit, and they loved being "twins". Lilly is getting ready for her day at the pool.

Ashton loved this swimsuit because it made him look like his favorite toy "Strong Guy" as Ashton calls him

Lilly is hanging out with her Daddy before swimming.
