So my day started out at 3:30 am with the paper route. Lilly slept through the whole thing and waited till I was just about to go back to sleep at 6:30 and then she decided to wake up for the day. By the time I fed her and changed her etc., the other kids were up and wanted to get started on their chores that I had told them they had to do before Casey and Sophia came to go to Lagoon with us. Luckily for the kids, they managed to get their chores done in time and we all got to spend the day at Lagoon.
The first ride we went to was Wicked and Casey tried convincing Emmy to ride with him and Sophia, she kept refusing until he upped the bribe to $10.00. Those who know Emmy well know that money is very hard for her to resist =0)
Let's just say that Casey is $10.00 poorer and Emmy is planning her own little shopping spree! She LOVED the ride and after that she made quick work of all the scary roller coasters she had previously been avoiding.
We were able to fit in a ton of rides and I think that everyone had a good time. Here are some more pictures of our fun at Lagoon!
Ashton was the literally the only kid at Lagoon who wanted to ride Bulgy the Whale, so he got to have the whole ride to himself and he just stayed on each time the ride was over and waited for the operator to start it again.
Oh, and by the way Casey, thanks for the fart machine, just remember what goes around comes around and I can't wait till you have kids!

Lilly's first bites of cereal. . .
Lilly got her first taste of baby cereal today and she seemed to enjoy it. Emmy was so excited that she was actually eating with a spoon!

I just eat candy, I Ashton!
So as most of you know, when Ashton gets his hands on candy or anything with sugar in it, that's all she wrote as far as getting him to eat anything else. I took his candy away and while I was taking a nap he fanagled some more out of his sister. All he has to do with her is bat those long eyelashes and say "pletty please" in his irresistible little Ashton voice and she gives him whatever he wants. These pictures are of him at the counter while I was force feeding him oatmeal so that he would have something in his stomach besides candy. You can see all the taffy and chocolate residue all over his face. He wouldn't smile until I was done taking pictures and then all of a sudden he wanted to smile so I would keep snapping pics of him, crazy kid!

"Bleuty and the Bleast" - Ashton
So an awesome lady in our new ward gave me 6 tickets to go see the Kaysville production of Beauty and the Beast. We only needed 4 of the tickets to go, so we invited some friends from our ward to go with us. The show was really quite good. I have to admit I was surprised by the quality of the performers and the set. The music was great, although the orchestra got flatter and flatter as the show progressed, I think Jaron would have spent the second half of the show cringing in horror instead of enjoying the good acting and singing =0). The kids loved the show and got to meet "Belle" afterwards. It was like being at Disneyland!

RaSpBeRiEs GaLOrE!
We picked raspberries this morning and got almost 4 pints from about half of the raspberry patch. Carter helped by holding the bucket and telling mom where more ripe ones could be found. . .
. . . and I don't think a single berry that Emmy picked ended up in the bucket, and half of the ones in the bucket ended up in her tummy!

Fourth of July
I am still playing around with new ways to post on my blog,
so here is a dorky little movie I put together. We went to
the Kaysville parade, where the kids got WAY too much candy,
and then we went to Burger King for lunch. We played outside
and swam a little in the kiddie pool. A family in the ward
brought us a package of fireworks, so we set those off and
then went to bed. I asked the kids if it was ok if we skipped the big
show since I had to be up so early to deliver papers, and they
were fine with it. I think by the end of the day they were worn
out!

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!
So. . . I went and got me a paper route. This was my second day doing it and it isn't so bad. I have to get up between 2-3 in the morning, and that is by far the worst part. It is still taking me a few hours to do because I don't know all the houses yet, but when I learn it I think I will be able to reward myself with a little more sleep. I am hoping that I don't mess up Lilly's sleeping schedule too badly with this, she tends to like to stay awake for awhile while I fold the papers, but once we are in the car she quickly falls asleep. It is nice and peaceful that time of day and most of the papers I just throw from the window of my van, I probably only have to get out for about 10 papers the whole route. Anyway, it will be a good source of extra income, maybe even enough that I can get my kids into various lessons and/or sports, that can get soo expensive. Alrighty then, I think I am going to go take a nap now! =0)
